Buddy, a carefree Golden Retriever, has a secret: he can talk. But his life of charming city vendors ends abruptly when he’s captured and locked away in a science laboratory. The terrible Professor Pickles plans to sell Buddy and other talking pups to a mysterious circus. Trapped alongside a crew of talking dogs, the serious Ace, the bubbly Rover, the fancy Cupcake, and the nervous Chicken, Buddy must unite the pack. They successfully tunnel through the concrete walls in a desperate attempt to get freedom. But the mission changes when Buddy discovers his new friends are not strays but desperately missed pets.
