

Rose-Lily in a Field of Roses follows a teenage girl, Lily, in high school who faces the struggle of being Asian in America. She struggles to find herself and her purpose for life. Lily struggles with severe maladaptive perfectionism with the overbearing pressure from not only her parents, but her cultural standards that she is expected to live up to. The book goes into a deep analysis of her experience with moving across the country, while also relating to Floriography. In a vast sea of roses as a rose-lily, Lily slowly finds the other flowers that completes her unique bouquet of people that surrounds her along with a special flower that looks over her.
