Maia Whitehead

Maia Whitehead is eleven years old, and Shade’s Forest is her first published book. She has been writing stories and poems since she was seven and has a strong passion for creative writing. Shade’s Forest is inspired by her special connection with animals, particularly cats, and time spent in the woods around Pine Grove Furnace State Park.
She was born in Washington, DC, and currently lives in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania with her mom. This book is her literal dream come true, as she has wanted to become a published author since what feels like forever ago.
