With history safely behind her, Kai commits to her role as guardian. Along with Vivi, the sole protector for Kai’s world (and, somehow, a friend), Kai stumbles upon a darkness hidden deep within the Collectors. But when the familiar sting of betrayal opens old wounds, Kai is bitterly reminded that the past can never really stay buried…
