They say cats have nine lives…but what about trick-or-treaters?
Halloween was fast approaching, and best friends Naomi and Bianca should have finished their plans ages ago. But between dealing with Preston (the school bully), figuring out last-minute costumes (a cat and a clown), and doing their homework (boring), the girls had just one thing on their minds—and it wasn’t candy.
You see, according to an old legend, a witch lived all alone in a house in the woods. She rises each year on Halloween night, roaming the woods in search of ingredients for her unspeakable stew. What self-respecting trick-or-treater could hear such a curious legend without investigating?
But as the girls peel away each layer of this ancient mystery, they find that the “legend” is all too true. Determined to learn more about this historic but haunted house, the cat and the clown soon find themselves in real danger. And this time, it isn’t just their own curiosity that must be satisfied.
Will the girls be brave enough to find the spooky old witch’s house on Halloween night, or will they chicken out and let the legend remain a mystery? Will they learn the true power of forgiveness? And will these Halloween investigators land on their feet…or will curiosity kill the cat?
